Metropolitan Park is a community-led vision to transform the empty parking lots around Citi Field into something that truly serves the people of Queens: new public park space, a world-class entertainment district, thousands of good-paying union jobs, and real investment in our community. This vision is now being reviewed by the Public Design Commission (PDC).

The PDC is charged with reviewing the design of projects on city-owned property, including public spaces and buildings. Because Metropolitan Park is planned for city-owned land, the PDC’s review is an important step in assessing how its design will shape the area around Citi Field.
