Metropolitan Park is Our Park

We’re partnering with the local community to design a project that’s responsive to the needs of our surrounding neighborhoods. Queens is clearly on the rise. The story of this site can’t be told without the diverse and dynamic voices of our neighbors. These neighborhoods are as vibrant as the city has seen in generations. Future forward and authentically part of the city we call home.

Our Values

  • We’ve had over 1,000 meetings with valued community leaders, partnering in 16 Visioning Sessions hosting thousands of guests. At each event, our neighbors were invited to share their opinions and brainstorm new ideas on how best this site would serve the community.

  • In the most congested borough in New York City, creating new green space is essential. That’s why, we’ll connect Flushing Meadows Corona Park to the underutilized waterfront of Flushing Bay, add ribbons of protected bike paths, and provide new recreational athletic fields for all to play on.

  • We have the opportunity to create something special for a borough on the rise. With a spirit of inclusion that is embodied by our neighborhoods, we can be a lighthouse destination that is home to a unique campus seen nowhere else. Connecting our vibrant surrounding neighborhoods that for too long have been isolated from one another.

  • We canvassed neighboring small businesses to dream along with us. Not surprisingly, the opportunity for economic growth is something they’re excited about. When we promised an investment of billions to create 23,000 good-paying, permanent and construction union jobs, community support was overwhelming.

  • An integrated resort with gaming and entertainment is an economic engine that will make these 50 acres of asphalt a true global destination. Whether coming to attend an event or eat and drink at world-class bars and restaurants, Metropolitan Park will be a destination not just for baseball season, but 365 days a year.
